About Marilyn MacGregor
Marilyn MacGregor is an artist, a writer, a teacher, and an art historian. She has been drawing since she was able to hold a pencil - (really! I have a drawing of a seal with a ball on its nose from when I was three!) She loves drawing, art, life, and many good people, including her husband and daughter.

About GravitasArt
GravitasArt is serious fun - I am serious about solid drawing technique, good materials, professional presentation and my approach to subject matter is often light-hearted, though you may also find in some of my work a serious advocacy for better treatment of the earth and all of its inhabitants .
About THINGS
I am showing a current series of drawings entitled THINGS, and have just added new work from a series to be called PLACES. Each THINGS drawing is lovingly done as a celebration of the ordinary things we touch, use, wear, eat, depend on, cuddle up with, and then take for granted. THINGS are small portraits of the props and scenery of a well-lived life. PLACES are drawings taken from my sketchbooks, usually from my travels. As you will see, I am especially partial to Paris, but love any place with art, history, architecture, and a sense of life.
